Photos not showing in product

Hi,
I have just downloaded the free version of Easy Shop. Looks good, and very easy to add a product and display it...BUT I added a photo to the product and the photo does not appear.
I have tried adding different size photos, altering the max upload size, changing the pic size in the config, removing all punctuation from file names etc etc but the pics will not show. They don't show in the listings nor in the product's own page.
I have deleted the product and tried again but no success. I have checked the files and the photo thumbnails have been generated and are there in the correct folder. I have also tried different browsers.
The one "unusual" thing I am doing is that I am hosting this on my PC as localhost. However, everything else seems to work ok.
Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong before I give up and move on to another product?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I turned off lazy load and lazy resize but still no images. I deleted the existing images and re-loaded them but still not working.
It might be time to try a different product.
