Hello,

In the settings options I can set that in an article category the customer can select and order an article only once.
Is it also possible that the customer may only select one article in an article category?

What's the article? you mean it's product?. For your question, the upcoming version 1.1.1 has a new feature called "Direct checkout" that's optional config for each product. The button add to cart will be become "Buy Now" button and when customer click on that will be redirected to the checkout page and only that product in cart.
